22 Weeks

Lindsey is at 22 weeks

This is where the camera man said, "Whoooaa...I gotta back up to get this all in."

She grinned and bore it though
Nothin' like carrying around our future 4 lb 3 oz 9 inch perfectly healthy baby!

Livin' in Sista Paradise?

So, which sister do you think looks more like a thug?

The older sister? Lindsey "I'm a street balla" Schlensker?

Or the younger sister? Jackie "This is what I look like when Joey doesn't play" Spjut?

As for the youngest sister? I gotta wait to find a "thug picture."

Cleaning Out The Basement

We should have taken more "before" pictures...actually ANY "before" pictures, but you can get a sense of dozens of boxes accumulating from moving in and getting new cabinets. Plus saw dust from drilling holes for electrical lines, plus cob webs and bugs and everything else that goes with a basement. I have tremendous vision for the basement, but for the time being, we just spent a day getting most of it cleaned out. -T

This is the best "before" picture that we got - it doesn't even do it justice!
This is what we failed to take a picture of - before this - just pure boxes out to about where the picture is being taken.

Our old bathroom door - put to use!

The food storage area became so much bigger all of the sudden! There were boxes and suitcases , etc. that lined this inner wall by the pole.

After the basement flooded (we were there to save stuff from damages)

I want to put a wall back there...

...to seclude the washer/dryer into its own room.

Despite the wet, it looks so much better!

Stop Playing With Your Food!

Some people cook the food (Lindsey), some people play with it (Todd). -T

We'll Go On Vacation More Often If People Keep Wanting To Surprise Us!

When we got home from St. Louis, I went to throw trash out in the garbage can on the side of the house. I thought I noticed the fence being extended from where I left it. Sure enough, Mom and Dad came and finished our fence! They also put in a new bathroom door, a new knob for the basement, bought new smoke alarms, and put on the baseboards that were missing in the kitchen! We loved it and were so grateful for it! -T

The section on the far right was not there when we left
Nice work!

The green monster in full bloom

Spot #1 - Needed baseboards

Spot #2 - Needed baseboards
New knob
New bathroom door
Ah! It looks so much better than that nasty brown thing!

Not pictured: new smoke alarms

The Temple

Before we left, we did a session at the temple. It's always fun to go to different temples. Although, when you've become used to small temples, big temples seem so big! We enjoyed it though and hey...June 1st? We've already made our temple trip for the month! -T

St. Louis Temple

It's tricky trying to set the camera up straight in the grass

And with your own hands

I always wonder why they put the steeple on that side of the temple
Looking nice

Looking scrubby and ready to depart for home

I always like it when it's very visible for all to see

Leaving the temple and leaving St. Louis

Take Me Out to the Ballgame - Finally!

We were never allowed to go to a Cardinals' game. They are now! We saw tons of missionaries! The bonus of going to a game was they were playing the Reds! Even though its not the same stadium as when I served there and never got to go in, it still was fun being there in a BEAUTIFUL stadium! That place is pretty awesome. Of course, going to a baseball game means rain for us as we've been to three games, all of which have had rain delays. It cooled things off tremendously though which was nice, what wasn't nice is that it also cooled off the Reds pitching. -T

Welcome to the NEW Busch Stadium!
Linsdey got excited when she noticed the arch in the field - you could also see the real Arch and the Old Courthouse from our seats. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

We sported our Reds gear in enemy territory

First pitch

They pitched to Fat Albert here, but we got booed and chicken squaked at when we wouldn't pitch to Mr. Pujols.

It's not good when it's 4:00 and they have to turn the lights on - it's sunny on the other side of us, but THAT does not look good!

Nope! We didn't have to run for cover like a lot of people did though, we were actually some of the few that were covered - the benefit of the cheap seats!

Another Todd & Lindsey baseball game - another rain delay

Woohoo! It's over!

It's always fun to cheer for the grounds crew...it looks like Lindsey's old backyard from when she was a kid - not the field, just the puddle.

And...we'll just leave it at that!

Union Station and Who Can Name the #1 Music Video of All Time?

We took the train right to Union Station - train station turned mall and now hotel. Also there is Hard Rock Cafe where we had lunch. We went there a couple times on the mish, and they played the Thriller music video - a personal favorite and the #1 music video of all time. They totally played it two minutes after I brought it up, plus it was right after we ordered so we weren't distracted. The food was great and despite eating with almost all Cardinals fans, we enjoyed it. We then walked Union Station, and just like many years ago, missionaries still are there most P-Days. We even saw most of the fudge show at The Fudgery. They do a fudge show when they make the fudge, sing, dance, and hand out samples. We were at the other end, but we heard it and I recorded after the song for a few seconds. -T

Who doesn't love Hard Rock Cafe!?
These pictures are so much more fun with a woman as opposed to a dude!

Oh SNAP! They did not just put on Thriller!

Union Station - home of many P-Days!
We didn't get the song, but a little bit of the guy afterwards. Turn up your sound it's hard to hear. We had to get it from the second floor or else we would have missed it altogether.

It's quite the attraction

Is Lindsey twitter pated by the missionaries? My question is why are they eating at the food court when Hard Rock Cafe is just outside?
I really didn't know!

Does anyone recognize this?

"I wish I was big!" We didn't make any wishes, in fear they might come true

Above us used to be "3rd floor - Union Station," a.k.a. Hooters. Now it's just empty!
