"Mae J" Gets Posted

We finally got around to hanging the traditional name plate that Papa D and Grandma Weez give out to their grandchildren. -T

Mae's Room

Mae sure does loves her sweet momma

After like 6 shots, we finally got the name plate and all of us in it without blocking the name plate and Mae decides to not look at the camera
The best we got

Look At Me, I Made it to Three (months)!

For some reason, we always try to take Mae's monthly picture in the evening when she's all smiled-out for the day. We took like 20 some odd pictures and we still did get some good ones despite the challenge. -T

Like I said...it started out as a challenge...we didn't realize she'd be THIS against getting her picture taken in the evening.
She warmed up though

Mom tried to spice up the pictures by doing her "bunny ears" trick
A yawn or a yell...we can't remember
This was as good as standing up got us
Now she's just trying to figure out what we want from her
That's all we wanted...now we can stop (I made a deal with her that we'd stop once she smiled)

Hello 2011...Here I Am!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen...

Making her first appearance of 2011...

MAE!!!

"Hey everybody...I sleep through the night now!"

"I'm also super fascinated with my fingers now! It's like 10 toys all at once for my mouth!"

Starting the New Year Right

You would think the first post of the 2011 would be something regarding Mae. Well, I'm sure you'll see your share of Mae posts over the course of the year. We'll ring in the new year with what's known around here as a "Lindsey Line!"

Lindsey:
"I wasn't cool in high school...
...but I was popular and awesome!"

(If I was better at photoshop this would be better, but it's almost funnier looking this weird)

Lindsey wanted me to change the actual quote on this because she says it wasn't meant to come across as her "sounding better than cool." It was supposed to mean she wished she was cool, "but I wasn't." I guess popular and awesome are beneath cool.

Last One of 2010 - 1st New Year's, Mae Pays Tribute

2010 was a great year! We love Mae! Our last post for 2010 is Mae not staying up to see the ball drop, but celebrating her 1st New Year's Eve by happily going to sleep in 2010 and arising just as happy in 2011. Goodbye 2010...you were certainly good to us all! -T

"Thanks to all - my parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, friends, ward members, and random fans and admirers! 2010 was great and I will see you in 2011! Love youuuu!" -Mae

Changing and Growing, but Keeping Cute

All we do is take pictures of Mae. Some for a reason, some not so much. Here is another post just enjoying our daughter. -T

She's trying to hold my hand =)

We love that little face
I don't know why, but this is one of my favorite pictures of all time
Our little mermaid (compliments of Aunt Lois)

A story to tell...

"I love it when a plan comes together!!!" --A-Team

(as told by Lindsey and interpreted by Todd)

This jumper is from Amie, the shirt from Emily/Nicole (BB girls), and the hat from Aunt Randy (which she's finally big enough to wear!)...all perfect for cold weather AND for matching! Also, if you're wondering about the socks (from Megan/Claire) and the random greenness...she's never worn anything green, BUT there was a tiny bit of pink on them so they (sort of) match too!
The pacifier is from basketball girls as well
a.k.a. the cry stopper (Lindsey wasn't done taking pictures)
But wait! She loves to drool so she needs a bib! Lucky for us...we have a perfectly matching bib from Aunt Laurie! ("You know the saying, 'Too many accessories clutter an outfit?' That doesn't apply to little girls, does it?" -Lindsey)

"Because you're never fully dressed without a...

...smile!!!
(end of story/plan coming together)

Failing to walk at 2+ months
I thought maybe all she needed was a pep talk
Dangit Mae!
Showing her I still love her despite her failures

Christmas 2010

We think Mae knew it was Christmas Day. She was up in the 5 o'clock hour rearin' to go and happy and smiley. We did enjoy the day with a trip down to Grandma and Grandpa Spjut's with the grandparents and Aunt Jackie and Aunt Kylee, followed by "dinner" (lunch) at Aunt Beth's and Uncle Brian's with the Poe's and Schlensker's. Christmas at our own house was then done in the evening. Poor thing didn't even get to open a gift from Santa until almost 6:00 pm. Well, she wasn't too broken-hearted, she was pretty much spoiled all day. -T

It's 5am...you don't typically smile at this hour
Do you know it's Christmas morning?
We will take that as a yes

Mae's first Chrstmas gift (and Kylee?...I don't know)
A "My First Christmas" ornament from Aunt Jackie
Mae's first Christmas gift outfit from Aunt Kylee...little "Baby Chuch"
Grandma even had a stocking made for her
Mae just loved (and ruled) the day

Spoiled little sweetheart

Mom with an exhausted Mae at only 9:30am
At least she knows the true meaning of the day - this is her praise moment
"Christmas and Mom - life is good!"
Wuh-oh! Christmas with the Poe's/Schlensker's is a little more...eventful. Cameron just never seems to be able to get enough of his newfound cousin...aka really intriguing toy.
She survived it all though...

...and was spoiled yet again
Christmas at home
Our little family on our own Christmas Morn (evening)
My two girls
Smile or about to cry?
"No more pictures...just my presents from Santa! It's 6pm!"
"Oh snap...it's finally time!"
"Although, I'm very worn out so I'll chill here while you open them for me."
"Ahhh...good day!"
