Wo Wo Wo...I Am Now Fo' (months)!

Mae hit her 4 month mark. She's still little, but getting chubby (if you don't believe me check out her double chin picture below), standing, talking more...and of course still smiling at the world in which she loves. Although for some reason when we do these monthly pictures, it seems to be the only time she DOESN'T want to smile. We're not sure why, but boy do we work hard trying. We even did it in the morning this time (as opposed to the evening) when she's always super smiley, but still it was a battle. -T

Red for Valentine's Day...
Reds for Spring Training starting THIS month!

WHOA! I don't really know. Scared? Not ready? Pooping? Regardless, I told you she's got a double chin goin' on these days.

She wanted to eat the sign. We settled on letting her hold the sign herself, but she wouldn't smile doing it.
THERE's a smile!

And another!

NOW we're rollin'! And she looks like more of a girl now too.

Then the roll stopped because...

...I guess she needed to "pop a squat."

So we had to try new things to get her to smile.

"Uh Dad, what are you doing?"
"I'm playing the piano to get you smile again."
"Oh, like this?"
This is the face she always has when I kiss her all over her face
Trying to do that famous baby laying on her hands pose
"Okay, NOW you can eat the paper."

A behind the scenes look at getting this girl to smile for picture day

She Stands Alone

So, we found out Mae can stand all on her lonesome! We then wondered what her motivation was so...we watched. Was it her pacifier that she wanted so bad? Or...was it something else? -T

She eyes her target
She looks around with almost a "guilty" look

She looks back to see who is looking
So what is it?

This girl loves to watch her sports

Random Acts of Cuteness

We've taken a bunch of pictures and we're going to lump them all into one post and tell a story as it becomes necessary. -T

"Hey Mom! Totally bored over here...will you entertain me?"
"How 'bout a little round of peek-a-boo."

"Does he not think I'm cute or something? I'm not understanding this."
Playing dress-up...and then adding a bunny apparently.
HELLO close up!
Hello close up x2
We've already established she has Lindsey gorgeous eyes. Lindsey thinks she looks like her Dad from the nose down.
Especially in this picture...I'm not sure how to take that.
Regardless...she sure is cute!
She can sit in a bumbo!

How she got her shoe off and how she got it there is beyond us.

How do you carry a sleeping baby, a movie, and two bowls of ice cream? Just make the kid carry some of it.
Our little caterpillar

And then into a butterfly apparently

Always full of laughter

SO big...and not Mae
Oh and the dresser is on fire.

Testing the Coordination

Lindsey decided to see if Mae could put the pacifier in her mouth on her own once it fell out. Here's their story(as imagined by Todd)... -T

Mae: Haha, Mom...you really think I can do this myself.

Narrator: Off to a bad start...it went right in, but not the correct body part
Mom: Warmer! You're getting warmer!

Mom: Colder! And try to stay focused! No pausing to smile for pictures.
Mae: Haha...seriously, Mom...I really don't think I can do this!
Mom: "Warmer...HOT SO HOT!"
Mom: Okay, it's not going to fit into either one of those.

Mae: I give up.
Mae: Yep...I'm done.
Mae:I give up, Mom! You're usually okay if I just smile. Is this good enough for now? Why do I even need a pacifier..."
...when I have fingers that I never lost track of!
