Strict Order

Mae likes order.  She doesn't like messes, she likes her drink in the same spot at mealtime, and well, she just likes things a certain way.  There's definitely not anything wrong with that (THAT'S my girl!).  I think this game of wanting to lay in bed with Anna, and this random doll, got a little old (maybe they would if I were taken the pictures, but Lindsey is a better sport).  You'll notice these pictures all seem like they were taken at the same time, but no, they are in different outfits because it was on different days.  When Lindsey would try to put different people in different spots, Mae would have none of it.  Once everyone in their correct spot then came the call for "Cheese! Cheese!" meaning Lindsey had to get hte camera.  So despite it all, it shows Mae's personality, as well as how much our two daughters, who happen to be sisters, love each other, and that's pretty fun. -T

This is the first of a bunch of pictures that seem exactly the same

Ahhhh!

Uh Mae, that's really nice, but we can't see Anna's face

If only the two on the right would smile for every picture too

Anna's eyes are hard to cover

"Tickle tickle"

I really wish Anna would open her eyes for these pictures

These last two pictures are straight in my file so I can't figure out why it's doing this, but you get the point here.

Maybe Lindsey said the doll was lost on this day

Annalyzing Our 2nd Born

No, I have no interest in really analyzing Anna, but we do enjoy looking at fun pictures of our happy little baby girl. -T

Waiting for Dad to do something funy

I am very entertaning, what can I say!?

Waiting again...

It was just a joke I am SORRY!  (Actually, this was a sneeze)

Looking for Mom

Happy to find her sweet mama

Whoaaaa...I don't even know

Happy Anna

Winding down

Ready for sleep

Slide It Out of Mae's Room

After moving the slide into Mae's room, we finally took the crib out of that room since we would soon put Anna in it.  So what's left is a slide and toddler bed which we eased Mae into.  Lucky for us she only really considers using one of those at night. -T

With two beds in the room, there wasn't really a great deal of room for a slide

Crowded

I mean she still enjoyed it, but we were glad to clear the space

Terrific Two (Months)

Anna turned two months and we took some pictures in an outfit that Mae didn't wear until 7 months.  We enjoyed watching the Olympics (but didn't enjoy waking up tired the following morning for two straight weeks) and that's the theme of the sign becuase they just ended.  She looked like Mae early, but she has already taken on her own distinct look with a lot more chub. -T

She smiles a lot, but not for these pictures

2 months is easier to take picture than 11 months

Just staring at the desperate parents trying to entertain

Not a smile, but also not the same stone face as all the others

She's got rolls!

More chub than Mae

She doesn't mind tummy time as much as Mae did

Done!

First Haircut

Mae's first haircut went...about as expected.  We had to bring in reinforecments to have a chance - "PIGGY BEAR!" (Muppets).  When all was said and done, Lindsey did a great job and Mae no longer had hair dangling in her eyes. -T
We started without the tv on because if our parents did it without the tv on, we can, too!  But it turns out we can't.  Don't know how you did it. -L
"Cheese" causes too much movement

Picture taking in general causes too much movement

But we found the solution

PIGGY BEAR!

Got her to go zombie style which made the haircut pretty easy

And that's when we can just mess with her

Mom with the steady hand

Praying She's a Good Influence

So everyone wants their kid to be the influencer and not the influencee, and if they do influence others hopefully they are an influence for good.  Well, maybe this was a little taste of what Mae will grow up into as we saw maybe a good sign for the future.  Mae's neighbor friends Addy and Carly came over for a "picnic."  That's when Mae wanted to stick with the routine. -T
Thanks for the quilt that doubles as the perfect picnic blanket, Grandma Great! -L

Mae: Okayyy...who's turn is it?

"Uh Mom?  They just started eating."
"Okay girls, we need to bless it."

She said a very nice prayer
Very animated as usual
"Okay NOW we can eat!"  Oh, and I guess I forgot to mention King Louie joined the picnic as well.

Biker Chick

We got Mae a bike.  She was ultra excited and sometimes she put some unwanted pressure on me to get it put together.  In fact, she started riding it before I even put the seat on it.  Good thing it wasn't an big kid bike. -T

We temporarily distracted her by making her shuck corn

Ummm, Mae dear, it has no seat, Sweetheart!

She's a biker chick...of course her hair is going to look like that after a ride in the wind

We're Cute, We're Sisters, and We Like It

At least Dad's not the only one that has "Uh oh's" in his nose

It's Mae and her balding old man of a little sister

Can we get just ONE picture where one of you isn't making a face?

How 'bout where ONE of you is at least looking at the camera?

This will have to do

And they're done.
