It's A(nother) Girl - Anna Lucia

June 15, 2012 at 2:16pm Anna Lucia Schlensker greeted us.  Lindsey was awesome!  Dani, our nurse, labeled Lindsey as her "favorite patient of the week."  We didn't think there was any way Lindsey would push less than the 15 minutes she did with Mae, but in less than 2 minutes of pushing, Anna arrived.  Anna weighed in at 7lbs 9oz and was 21 inches long.  Many commented how long she was - which is always a welcomed comment in my eyes.  It was a great day and Mae LOVES her new baby sister. -T

The last time it was just the 3 of us

Ready to go

If I could see the germs, I'd probably just wipe them on my shirt

This is it...the last time she'll get any modesty for the next 30 minutes (as opposed to some women's 3 hours of preping and pushing)

Anna's first picture

I guess that would make this Anna's 2nd picture and I'm not going to count any higher

My, now, 3 girls

Whoever said saying "Cheese!" makes really good smiles for pictures, never saw Mae say "Cheese!" for pictures

Anna and Dad

Mom, our hero, and Anna

I feel a little outnumbered

A family pic

And another

A fish faced family pic

A "huggy" from her big sister

So sweet

We hope Anna likes Mae as much as Mae likes Anna

Our newest little girl

We LOVE good sleepers

This was a flower given to Mae by someone bringing flowers for someone else who just had a baby - I guess the girl can charm anywhere she goes

9 Months and a Day

Lindsey is ready.  We are both ready.  The June 9th due date of Baby Schlenk #2 has come and gone.  All I know..for a past due pregnant lady...my wife looks pretty daggon good. -T

I always love the belly button

The Last Days of Being an Only Child

We're trying to make the most of the last days of having one child.  Mom is so skilled at making life enjoyable for Mae and then I join in to all the fun when I'm there. -T

Ready to go slip 'n sliding!!!

This is about as close as she got to it

Upon Mom's request (I think she just wanted to make dinner in peace) we tried the fort thing again

This time she loved it - loved to make it hard for me to build!

I had to teach her a lesson

Mom made play-doh!

Whiney face or kissy face?  She does make a mean pucker.

That can't taste good

Hello!  Do you like my hat!?

I guess she does

Blueberry snack

Okay so she loved it

"Cheeeeeeeese!!!"

Celebrating 20 great months of being the only child and a great one at that...Mom made s'mores.

And she loved it

And she actually was quiet at the dinner table

Now THIS is the kind of effort we were looking for at her first birthday!

Yeah, we'll see if you're this happy when your life totally changes in a few days

The Class of 2012

Mae wanted to go see her Aunt Kylee graduate high school.  So we went.  Lindsey - Marcus Marauders class of some ridiculous number of students- thought it was short.  Todd - Madeira Mustangs class of 100 students - thought it was long.  Mae luckily didn't associate it with church and was really reverent and fun.  In the end, congratulations to Kylee. -T

Ready to get it goin'!

Don't trip...don't you DARE trip!

How anyone can walk in shoes like that is beyond me.

Mae and Aunt Kylee

Class of 2029

After this, the graduations they attend will be attended as Grandma and Grandpa, not Mom and Dad

Just getting a little exercise

My Best Friend Boots

Mae sometimes gets in the mood to wear her red boots...no matter what her current outfit is. -T

Pink and Red

Here's our little thug boy baby

Nothing says Christmas in May like a green outfit with bright red boots

And then sometimes the boots come off and she just wants to watch the ballgame
