Vacation Day 2: Kirtland/Niagara Fogs

We woke up in Kirtland and went back to take some pictures of the temple and its surroundings. The weather wasn't a whole lot better. It was less windy and ultimately our last chance so we went for it. We then headed up to Niagara Falls. We finally did our first tiny bit of traveling with no rain! It didn't last. -T

The rain...not better. The wind...much better!

"In...the rain...again(sigh)!"
Mom, Mae, and the temple

HOO HOO HOO with Mom! In front of the temple that has had its doors restored to its original color
Dad and Mae
Even though our church doesn't own it...it was still fun to have her touch the temple

Rain+Umbrella+Baby+Background+No one else to take the picture = Not an easy family picture
Take 5...This was about the best we got
Cemetery at Kirtland
We decided to look for ancestors - last name is an ancestor, the person is not.

Maybe? I should find out.

Not that we know of, just sad to think about losing twin babies.

We were not allowed to take pictures in the visitor's center or the temple, but we thought it was cool that at the end of the video inside this building, these curtains opened and there was the temple. The temple is behind us. Very cool.
Lindsey loved this painting in our church's Visitor's Center
We just drove 1000 miles in the wrong DIRECTION (for those of you that don't know, Lindsey lived in Kingsville, TX)! Not really, but this at least shows the weather was still great!
Mile 370...first mile driven without precipitation!
"I'm too tired for the falls, guys!"
Come to find out, Mae does the exact same hand to mouth position that the little divas on Toddlers and Tiaras do. Uh oh.
She sucked it up...who wouldn't when you can wear such a fun hat!
Mae and Mom at the falls
I do not see the Maid of the Mist down there...opens in April? Yeah, we'll see. Let's check out those Horseshoe Falls!

Ah boy...well, not today.
Cold, but happy!
And still doing the HOO HOO HOO!
